Student researchers at Gangnam University (President Yoon Shin-il) Department of ICT Convergence Engineering (2022R1A2C1092178) attended a research seminar held at Ritsumeikan University in Japan to present research and tour advanced laboratories. At this research seminar held on Tuesday, February 14, two announcements were made on a system that quantitatively measures human visual recognition mechanisms in the virtual reality world. Students Kim Hyuk-yeom, Lee Ji-hyun, and Park Ga-eun announced their research and held in-depth discussions on the research with Professor Liang Li, who hosted the research seminar. After the research seminar, he visited Professor Liang Li (CG Laboratory) and Lin Meng (AI Laboratory) to listen to and exchange opinions on research that recognizes objects from 3D point group data using deep learning and research in various AI fields that can be applied to robots. In addition, he visited Ritsumeikwan University’s Information Science and Technology Department’s training facility to see the XR laboratory environment using VR devices, optical motion capture, and human scale screens, and experienced advanced laboratory environments such as program laboratory and collaboration project room.
